Become the Best Version of You

“Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, and those that bring up lots of questions. Those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you that you love, well that’s just fabulous”

Carrie Bradshaw – Sex and the City.

The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one you will ever have. It influences your happiness and well-being, impacts your thoughts, interactions and relationships with others.

There are so many ways in which you can improve your relationship with yourself, here’s a quick summary of the three stages that I take clients through.

Resolve

First comes the life appraisal, it’s time to recognise and understand what’s holding you back from being who you truly are or want to become… not forgetting what’s already fabulous!

That may mean coming to terms with the past or letting go of habits, beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve a positive purpose in your life.

Maybe you just don’t feel like you’re being true to yourself, you might even feel that you are pretending to be someone else just to please others.

Whatever it is that’s stopping you moving forward… it’s time to remove the restrictive psychic spanx and allow yourself to expand to your full potential!

Embrace

Now you’ve stopped being who you aren’t it’s time to embrace who you are. Uncovering your unique talents and abilities, the qualities that make you, YOU!  Appreciation of yourself gives you the freedom to grasp life and live it to the full, allowing you a a much greater capacity in accepting others as they are.

Celebrate your fabulous self right now!  Once you do, you’ll notice what an amazing effect being comfortable in your own skin, has on your life. It will radiate from you and everything will become so much easier to deal with… even the bad stuff!

Discover

Phew! Now you know where you’re at, and you’re packing away that emotional baggage. You can begin to look at ways in which you can build upon and enhance what you already have.
