You’re far more beautiful than you think!
Beauty: a word associated in this day and age with big hair, fake nails, silicon and being a size zero.
But what ever happened to raw natural beauty?
Why do women nowadays feel exposed and bare if they have no makeup on?
Well, the answer is simple and it saddens me to say we feel the need to fit society’s criteria of beauty, of fitting in with the falsehood. Hiding the real beauty under layers of foundation and fake lashes, in aim to look like a human Barbie doll.
This is wrong – I repeat: WRONG.
Pure beauty is natural and comes in all shapes and sizes, and doesn’t have to fit any criteria. That’s what’s so amazing about beauty: IT MAKES YOU AN INDIVIDUAL.
In my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than accepting your faults and imperfections, whilst appreciating what you have. So if you feel the colour of your dress goes well with your eyes, by all means appreciate your beauty and acknowledge that you’re beautiful, and don’t let anyone make you feel any different.

It’s better to be modest than arrogant… But that doesn’t mean you can’t smile like a cheshire cat and have a skip in your step.
I’ve been shocked by the insecurity I’ve seen people hold in regard to themselves, and this particularly rang true when watching the ‘Dove Real Beauty Sketches’ video by personal care brand Dove. The aim of the short video was to show a group of women that they were more beautiful than they themselves thought, by comparing their own descriptions of themselves to the way in which strangers described them.
The video was undoubtedly an eye opener and highlighted that some of us are overly judgmental about ourselves, when people are not as critical of us as we are of ourselves.
So the next time you’re applying make-up, ask yourself whether you need a fake appearance to feel truly beautiful?
Do you really need to rely on fakery to illustrate your beauty?
How about going make-up free and experiencing feeling liberated as a natural beautiful women, being strong enough to put the foundation aside, showing the world you’re proud of the way you look?

Make-up just creates a façade for us ladies, the brave face we put on to face society and escape criticism. Remember beauty is more memorable and appreciated when natural. For example, people always go on about the importance of personality, and that’s because it’s so impressionable and always noted because it’s pure. Make your outwardly beauty just as pure and natural.
Just remember you’re beautiful in every possible way and don’t let others, including your judgmental self, tell you otherwise. (Now I feel a song coming on!)
So, the next time you think of beautiful things, don’t forget to count yourself too.
